So this happened (warning–photo and video heavy):
The AcroCats and RockCats band. They came to town the week some friends were here, so we went. I’m not even sure what to say about it. It was … ridiculous. And it wasn’t just cats. There were rats, a chicken and a hedgehog:
Yes, that hedgehog has a tutu on.
Of the cats, Tuna is the oldest and smartest, but also seemed to be the most temperamental. There were multiple warnings to stay away from Tuna or get your hand and arm scratched up. Sounds lovely, doesn’t it?
But Tuna was pretty willing to do what they asked as long as he got some food in return.
There were bowling cats, cats pushing shopping carts, cats climbing poles and skateboarding cats:
Some more tricks:
The big finale of the show were the Rockcats playing a few … umm … songs.
For some reason, the cat on the drums had me crying, it was so funny. I kind of want a drum kit for my cat.
The woman that runs the show fosters tons of cats (and keeps a lot of them–we figured she had at least 10 that were hers with her, and who knows how many more at home) and places lots of them. Acrocats. Rockcats. It was an odd night.
